Clareto Announces New EHR Partner

Our newest health data partner

We’re excited to announce a recent agreement to add a large health IT partner to our EHR+ network.  According to the company’s estimates, its EHR dataset covers up to 80 million lives nationwide, and is sourced from an end user base comprising approximately 50% primary care practices, 35% specialty practices (including cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, and orthopedics), and 15% other sites of care.

We are currently targeting a go-live date in Q2 2024 for an integration that enables a frictionless client experience and near-instant record retrieval.

Why it matters

Based on the estimates provided above, we expect that this health IT partner will become our third largest data source, representing a vital addition to further differentiate our EHR+ network.

The company’s EHR dataset is sourced via integrations with 30+ EHR products, many of which represent niche, specialty offerings that are not covered by our existing EHR and HIE connections. However, given its large patient population, we anticipate that the company will be the only data source available for some individuals, and one of potentially multiple data sources available for other individuals. As a result, our planned integration will follow our standard model, enabling our clients to quickly discover what records are available for an individual, and then select whether to retrieve some, all, or none of the available records (similar to our existing EHR and HIE connections).

This new partnership advances the market-leading reach of our EHR+ network, which maintains the most connections to EHRs, HIEs, and other digital health data sources dedicated to life insurance underwriting and related use cases. In fact, we signed agreements with four new health data partners last month, providing a strong tailwind to kick-off the new year, and setting the stage for 2024 to be a transformational year for our EHR+ network.
